Ocean City High School Sports
The Varsity sports teams at Ocean City High School are diverse in their offerings and storied in their success in the Cape Atlantic League and beyond. In the fall, there is Boys Cross Country, Football, and Soccer as well as Girls Soccer, Tennis, Field Hockey, and Cross Country. All of these teams have had success but the Field Hockey & Soccer teams seem to find themselves in State Championship Contention most years.
When winter comes around, the teams include Boys Basketball, Diving, Swimming, Wrestling, and Winter Track as well as Girls Basketball, Diving, Swimming, & Winter Track. The Girls Basketball and Swim teams seem to have top caliber players every year and have won many South Jersey Championships and more between them.
After the winter seasons, spring is in the air. The sporting events move back outside to Ocean City's top notch sporting facilities. For the Boys, there is Baseball, Lacrosse, Golf, Tennis, Track & Field, and Crew. For the Girls, the spring sports include Softball, Lacrosse, Golf, Track & Field, & Crew. There seems to be universal spring success, but one of the most unique sporting experiences is the crew team getting the row right in the bays off of Ocean City!
